Don't lose touch with Laragai House
Be sure to signup to our newsletter below in order to stay up-to-date with all of the latest news and events here at Laragai House.
We recommend at least a three night stay at Laragai House to allow you to fully utilise not only the many activities available in the grounds of the house but also on the expansive 32,000acre conservancy.
From January 2020, we are happy to reveal our new six night special. As more of Laragai House’s guests return year after year, we decided to open the house up to a special rate for those looking to invite friends and family on holiday in their favourite safari location. The rate is fully inclusive and aims to show our guests the best of safari, while also remaining relaxing, invigorating and rejuvenating.
The house is located on Borana Conservancy, in the heart of Kenya. With the imposing Mt. Kenya dominating the skyline, there are few views like it. There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson airport to Lewa Downs where our guides will be there waiting for you and will take you on the one-and-a-half-hour game drive to Laragai House. You will have the opportunity to see the big five on the way back from the airstrip.
Laragai House also has its own private airstrip, which charter flights are welcome to land at, just minutes’ walk from the main house. If you are needing more information on arriving at Laragai House, please get in touch as we can help you organise flights and arrivals from Nairobi.
Laragai House’s location also provides an excellent base to explore Kenya’s north. We can help you to organise scenic flights in the area, helicopter trips up the mountain for trout fishing, visits to the Reteti elephant orphanage, quad biking in luggas (dry riverbeds) – the possibilities are endless!

The House is split into four ‘wings’ – making it one of the most perfect holiday spots for family travel; young children are happy to be near to their parents, with interconnecting rooms and bathrooms. Older children and teenagers enjoy the freedom of the rooms in the west wing of Laragai House, where they can have freedom and privacy away from the rest of the group.
