Laragai House is split into four ‘wings’ making it one of the most perfect holiday spots for family travel. Young children can sleep near to their parents with interconnecting rooms and bathrooms. Older children and teenagers can enjoy the freedom of the rooms in the west wing, where there is freedom and privacy away from the rest of the group. Older members of the group can be given rooms that suit their needs and are practical for their age.
George’s Wing at Laragai House has one master bedroom overlooking the waterhole as well as two smaller rooms that share a bathroom specifically designed to accommodate children and a nanny.
Valentine’s Wing is made up of Valentine’s Room and Kabaka’s Room which are both double rooms and more suited to adults who prefer to be close to the main Drawing Room. Both rooms are spacious and offer beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
The Cedar Wing is at the back of the house, a short walk from the Drawing Room. It features two fantastic spacious rooms. The first is Hubert’s Room, fitted with a large king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The second is the Alexander Room which features two queen-sized beds, making it ideal for young adults or teenage guests.
Despite being in the back segment, Hubert’s Room is one of our favourite rooms, personifying the quirky nature of Laragai House – it even has a bath in the bedroom.!
The Lucilla Wing is Laragai House’s newest addition. Finished in 2018, the new cottage stands along and has magnificent views over the conservancy and the north of Kenya. The new wing is tastefully decorated with carefully selected art, a large fireplace, beautiful bathroom and private sundowner deck.
